Ragunan Zoo Adds More CCTVs for Night Operation Trial

The Ragunan Zoo is about to extend its operational hours from 6 PM to 10 PM on Saturday (10/11).

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said this trial of night operating hours provides more opportunities for the public to exercise at Ragunan.

"The trial of Saturday night at Ragunan will take place tomorrow from 6-10 PM," said Pramono, Friday (10/10).

Night Operation Plan for Ragunan Zoo Must Prioritize Animal Welfare

The Ragunan Zoo management will provide a shuttle bus for visitors. Who want to see the animal collection. It is because the private vehicles can not be operated inside the zoo.

According to Pramono, one of the main problems in at Ragunan Zoo is about parking lot.

"We will try to apply multilevel parking system at the zoo to overcome parking lot problem," he added.

Pramono confirmed that the management would also tighten security surveillance to prevent immoral behavior in the zoo area by installing more CCTV cameras.

Pramono emphasized the management will take firm action against visitors who engage in immoral behavior. Pramono hopes this trial will expand the list of tourist attractions at night.

"We would love to see the visitors reaction during the trial tomorrow," he continued.

If the trial gets positive feedback, the Jakarta Provincial Government will prepare all supporting facilities including for the MSMEs.
